Next Multiplicity Event Copenhagen 07.11.19

Mogens Dahl Koncertsal A/S
Snorresgade 22
2300 København S

Multiplicity is a non-for profit design/creative event created and hosted by Foilco.

The format is simple; a creative event that brings together designers, illustrators, photographers & artists in one space for one night.

Never hosted in the same location twice, Multiplicity moves from city to city to bring together collectively the creative minds of its community.

For the first time ever we are leaving UK shores to meet up with our European brothers and sisters in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, with the aim of inspiring the room with a line-up of speakers identified as the very best in their respective fields.

Anthony Burrill

Anthony Burrill

Graphic artist, print-maker and designer Anthony Burrill is known for his persuasive, up-beat style of communication. His work is held in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, New York and has been exhibited in galleries around the world including the Barbican Art Gallery, the Walker Art Center and the Design Museum, London.

Words and language are an important part of Burrill’s output and he has developed a distinctive voice that is sought after not only by collectors of his posters and prints but also by clients including Apple, Google, Hermés, British Council, London Underground and the Design Museum. Burrill is perhaps best known for his typographic, text-based compositions, including the now-famous “Work Hard and Be Nice to People”, which has become a mantra for the design community and beyond.

Burrill was born in Littleborough, Lancashire. After studying Graphic Design at Leeds Polytechnic he completed an MA in Graphic Design at the Royal College of Art, London. He now lives and works on the Isle of Oxney, Kent.

Carl-Johan Lindqvist

Carl-Johan Lindqvist

With a freelance background in graphic design and web development, Carl-Johan Lindqvist formed Lundgren+Lindqvist with art director and designer Andreas Friberg Lundgren in 2007. Simultaneously, he studied advertising at the KY Academy (currently YRGO) in Gothenburg from 2008 to 2010. The education placed emphasis on the creative process and included a six month internship, which was conducted at their own one year old studio, where they were already taking client work.

Carl-Johan works at the intersection of design and development, bridging the gaps that often appear between concept and execution in a digital production environment. Clients to date include Apple, Epic Records (Sony BMG), EA Games, RinseFM and Lynk&Co to name a few.

Lundgren+Lindqvist’s approach is conceptually driven and the studio has built an international reputation for crafting high quality solutions that are equally compelling to the eyes and the intellect. Since the start, the studio has utilised code as a tool as natural to the design process as pen and paper.

Although often simple in form, the output is multi-layered and built upon an in-depth understanding of the project’s prerequisites. Whether the solution is physical or digital, the studio employs a bespoke approach aiming to make clear what is mudded.

Lundgren+Lindqvist’s services cover visual identity design, art direction, design for print and digital applications, packaging design, signage and web development for projects ranging from e-commerce to enterprise websites. Development projects are carried out both independently and in collaboration with top agencies and designers around the world.

Boasting the world’s widest range of stamping foil shades and finishes, we endeavour to remove the restrictions of creativity to open up the freedom of choice and individualism when considering stamping foils.

By hosting events such as Multiplicity and Workshop, we hope to inspire the print and creative communities by giving people a chance to explore innovative ways of using foil. More importantly, it bridges the gap between suppliers and specifiers. Resulting in the type of collaboration needed for the high-quality end results.
